One of the main highlights of the 2008 Homecoming of the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech) on October 23-25, 2008 was the 30th anniversary of the Xi Alpha chapter of Delta Sigma Theta (DST).Prior to the start of the 2008 Homecoming football game between the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets and the Virginia Cavaliers on Saturday, October 25, 2008 current and former members of the Xi Alpha (Georgia Tech) Chapter of Delta Sorority, Inc. The annual tradition of several of the Georgia Tech African-American organizations conducting a joint tailgating event at a common location was maintained just prior to the homecoming football game was maintained. The stage for a challenge between new-school versus old-school line steppers. In a forum on the front lawn of the Georgia Tech Student Center a royal battle was about to begin. How well did the new-school steppers learn their traditions and heritage? Would the experienced sorors be upstaged by their understudies? The results were in full view for the world to see.....The first DST group to perform were a subgroup of current Xi Alpha (Georgia Tech) DST sorors representing the new-school steppers!!!!b4DCZiEMlwAfcdCm216U0Q4nkqmbUqQq47wam2jNP4M8 After the applause subsided for the younger DST soror, it was time for the old-school DST to show their stuff.

Westlake High School in South Fulton, GA hosted a career day on April 7, 2009. MPI President, Irving Fordham spoke to three (3) Westlake High School classes. He was assisted by photographers Janeal and Ilyssa Fordham. 3Z7jczdaQJUzwSaWE_TOA0Westlake High School is an engineering magnet school. Many of the students are on a college prepatory track. For example, the students are members of an advanced Physics class.During Irving's presentations, high school students had an opportunity to view mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) prints which were stamped by Georgia professional engineers that were used on a construction project for permitting purposes.Students also had an opportunity to review examples of Modern Pyramids' commemorative souvenir booklets.Westlake High School students are highly motivated. Irving Fordham encouraged the Westlake Lions to remain persistent and display personal initiative. He wanted to show te class an example of antiquated teacher-student motivation methods. Irving shared a paddle, Board of Education which was created by some of the students of the late Lorraine Walker Fordham, Irving's mother. Lorraine Fordham taught high school social studies in Charleston, SC for thirty (30) years. Irving mentioned that corporal punishment was illegal, unacceptable, and outmoted. Most importantly, if the students were interested in technical careers that it was advisable to be self-motivated.rcaQ5InE9AI

MPI Announces Website Upgrades for 2010

MPI President Irving Fordham announces that both the MPI websites for the Multimedia and Consulting Engineering Divisions will experience signicant technological enhancements during 2009.MPI has extended the Internet Service Provider (ISP) agreement with Siteground. In 2007, MPI purchased a third Siteground website. The initial MPI website for the Consulting Engineering Division was based on MAMBO website development software. Earlier in the decade, many of the initial MAMBO software developers left in a dispute to formulate JOOMLA. President Fordham further explains the need for the transition, ..the choice was easy to make. The best decision for existing as well as potential customers was to switch to the most progressive and impressive marketing solution. The MPI Consulting Division website will be based on the latest interactive technology products from Macromedia which includes Flash. The estimated launch date for the new MPI Flash-based website will be October 15, 2010. Instead of small and minor piecemeal enhancements to an older technology, MPI is progressively moving towards modernity, faster, and greater impact.MPI is equally excited about the 2010 plans for the website development for the MPI - Multimedia Division. According to Irving Fordham, ..more cell phone users are purchasing smart phones with 3G technology. MPI needs to be positioned to take advantage of e-commerce, high definition technology, and Internet viewing via smart phones. People very soon are going to routinely perform tasks on their smart phones that they used to perform on their desktops and laptops. The MPI - Multimedia Division is substantially more than selling digital photographs. Corporate priorities for the MPI - Multimedia Division is to continue risk diversification by providing content for our African-American target market in a high-definition TV world. Younger consumers are well-versed with video streaming technolgies like YouTube. The United States consumer electronics industry is gradually dissemenating a 3G infrastucture with larger bandwidth. Instead of video-streams, smart-phone owners will soon be expecting to see real-time broadcasts over their personal cell phones.During 2009, MPI is investing in computer software and photographic equipment to take a gigantic leap to a higher technological level. Low-resolution digital pictures are less impressive on newer HDTV's. Likewise, consumers increasingly are going to learn about the technical limitations when attempting to enlarge low-resolution images from older digital cameras and cell phones.By 2010, MPI consumers will have the capability to immediately and conveniently make online purchases either by debit or credit. Whether consumers want to purchase souvenir booklets or still photographs, MPI wants to furnish a wide variety of payment options beyond cash transactions. PayPal payments will be available to MPI consumers before Summer 2009. Credit payments via personal cell phones will soon follow.
