Modern Pyramids, Inc. participated during the Georgia Tech Homecoming. The themes of the Georgia Tech Alumni Association (GTAA) was "Celebrating A Century Of Alumni Impact" and the Georgia Tech Black Alumni Organization (GTBAO) was "Engagement - Supporting The Dream". The 2008 GT Homecoming Celebration was held near the campus of Georgia Tech between October 23-25, 2008. Pictured below are several members of GTBAO Executive Board with the keynote speaker, Georgia Tech Basketball Coach, Paul Hewitt. Turner Broadcasting was a major corporate sponsor. Several Turner Broadcasting employees were in attendance. GTBAO Homecoming 2008 began with a mixer at TROIS in midtown Atlanta where GTBAO members, Corporate Sponsors, and guests had an opportunity to become acquainted. The 2008 Honorary Chairperson is Douglas Hooker, Vice-President of PBS&J. Pictured together are Doug Hooker, Dr. Carolyn Yancey, and Ryan Stewart, co-host of the "2 Live Stews". GTAA GTBAO Board member Frank Rucker were in attendance J1 K1 L1 M1 N1 GTBAO is one of the affinity groups of GTAA. The seminar that GTBAO sprearheaded was focused on International Business. Panelists were introduced by GTBAO Vice-President Erikka Mallet.
Traditionally during Georgia Tech Homecoming the Georgia Tech Alumni Association (GTAA) sponsors various seminars during Friday morning of Homecoming Week. Opening remarks were extended by GTBAO Board member, Frank Rucker.

A reception was held during the evening of Friday, October 24, 2008 to promote the GTBAO Scholarship Endowment. GTBAO 2007-2009 President, Nicolette Gordon welcomed alumni. Georgia Tech Alumni had an opportunity to hear testimonials from three (3) scholarship recepients. Additional information was disseminated to alumni concerning the fund-raising campaign. During the appeal, the audience was provided historic information concerning the matriculation of African-Americans at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Most importantly, Georgia Tech African-American Alumni were informed how their collective contributions could assist and benefit the next generation of Georgia Tech alumni. Later Friday evening, a dance was held at Centenial Park. GTBAO encourages all alumni to participate in the annual Homecoming activities of the broader Georgia Tech Alumni Association (GTAA). Tech Homecoming favorites and alumni traditions include Wine-Tasting Seminar on Thursday evening. Buzz Bash is traditionally held on the Georgia Tech campus the Friday evening prior to the Homecoming game. Concurrently, Georgia Tech Alumni Association traditionally promotes class reunions for the following anniversary years: 25th, 40th, and 50th. The annual pre-game tailgate was held Saturday morning on the lawn of the Georgia Tech Student Center.
